More good news for Microsoft Xbox 360 customers as it has now been confirmed that existing Sky subscribers will also be able to access the Sky TV later this year through the Sky Player interface.
The good news means that you can have Sky TV without a satellite dish and for those who do not like watching TV using the PC can now view it very easily through your TV using the Xbox. The only problem is that you will need a Sky Subscription to be able to access such privalages.
A range of programmes (yet to be confirmed) will be available on a pay-per-view basis along with an assortment of interactive features. For example, viewers watching Sky Sports will be able to exchange messages with each other in real time via their broadband connections while checking news items and accessing fixtures and league tables.
The main dissapointment with the service is that no HD content will be available. Xbox and Sky have responded to the huge popularity of other on demand services such as BBC Iplayer. By offering on demand services and content through various methods will appeal to various consumers.
