Canal + will offer 13 High Definition channels to all the digital satellite receivers carrying the Canal ready label. The label was launched one month ago to inform consumers of the compatability with Canal including their offers and services.
 
Viewers equipped with the Canal ready High Definition receiver which has been included in brands Strong and Sagem will only have to subscribe to the Canal+ and CanalSatellite HD offers to get the dedicated channels.
CanalSat’s HD offer includes channels such as Cinecinema Premier HD, Disney Cinemagic HD, Eurosport HD, Ushuaïa HD and National Geographic HD, among others.

Not only has Canal targeted its new offer to satellite receivers with the Canal capability but the new label Canal Ready will soon be extended to DTT terminals and the new generation of TV sets.
 
Canal seems to be making a big impact in such a short time and for those lucky enough to have a Canal label on their satellite receiver they can take up the very nice offer of HDTV without the need of paying for the packaged channels. It's always good to see another competitor in the market even if history suggests they won't be around for long.
